Unleashing the transformative power of Graffiti Street Art

We are OnTheLevel Productions

Conscious Graffiti workshops

I felt free – Daniel, 8 years old

This is how Daniel, 8 years old, described his experience after one of our workshops. Our hearts fell to the ground when we realised how many children, already at this young age, feel this way. And seeing that, through our workshop, we managed to make him feel free again, even if it was just for a little while, it raised our hearts again and made us commit to the firm determination to share this activity with as many people as possible.

And thus OnTheLevel Productions was born, an interdisciplinary team of urban artists, mentors and youth workers with over 20 years of experience using graffiti and street art as a transformative means of conscious expression and connection with children, young people at risk of exclusion and teams in corporate environments. We facilitate unique and inspiring team-building and development activities, responsible graffiti workshops in educational and youth/community centres, as well as regeneration and social and community awareness projects.

Urban art as a transformative medium

Graffiti Street Art is increasingly recognised for its impact on personal and collective development. It facilitates erasing judgment and values audacity, revealing hidden talents. Hierarchy leaves space for the collective in the space of a mural, and each participant feels how they are contributing to the group’s common goal. Creating a collaborative mural boosts self-esteem and a sense of belonging, stimulates creativity and creates the necessary conditions to overcome difficulties.

Urban Art allows us to express ourselves and share ideas and emotions with the rest of the community and society. It allows us to raise awareness about social, human or political issues, in a fun and non informal way. It’s inspiring, fun, cool, requires no formal training, and helps us understand how our decisions have an impact beyond ourselves, in the broader context of our environment.

Schools and Youth Centres

Graffiti is a unique and powerful tool to connect with young people, including those groups at risk of exclusion.

Our workshops are led by urban artists, youth workers, and mentors
experienced in working with diverse groups. Participants will learn
various street art techniques and styles, understand the distinctions
between urban art and irresponsible graffiti, and develop their full
creative potential. Additionally, they will cultivate important
interpersonal values such as self-esteem, a sense of responsibility,
empathy, and a collaborative attitude towards teamwork.
